In tonight’s winter premiere of the hit CW drama, Tristian was desperate for leverage against the Mikaelsons, so he kidnapped Hayley — and subsequently Jackson as he fought to protect her — and flooded their veins with wolfsbane. Fans were then faced with a heart-wrenching twist — literally.

The Original family has lived all over the world. Literally, after more than 1,000 years, they’ve probably visited every possible city in the world … or at least the interesting ones. But it’s New Orleans that they now call home. However, the show shoots in Georgia, on a series of numerous beautiful, impressively elaborate sets.
While EW was on set, Originals star Phoebe Tonkin took us on a quick set tour through the Mikaelson compound, Hayley’s new apartment, the wardrobe department, and more. Now’s your chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the show creates New Orleans every week.

Australian actress and activist, Phoebe Jane Elizabeth Tonkin, rose to prominence with her role as Cleo Sertori in the hit children's fantasy series, H2O: Just Add Water. Tonkin further established herself in the genre with her portrayal of the captivating Hayley Marshall in both The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off, The Originals.
